Channel 5 has won the rights for the UK terrestrial television premiere of the Oscar-nominated film Gladiator, in a package along with other hit movies including American Pie.
LONDON (Brand Republic) - Channel 5 has won the rights for the UK terrestrial television premiere of the Oscar-nominated film Gladiator, in a package along with other hit movies including American Pie.
The agreement, expected to be announced next week, means Channel 5 will air the film in 2003 and Channel 4 will show it afterwards.
The two channels joined forces to strike the deal with Universal and another un-named production studio.
