Channel 5 hits the road in bid to woo teenage audience

Channel 5 is going on the road in a bid to attract younger viewers.

A roadshow will be visiting sites throughout August and September, bringing a taste of Channel 5 to teenagers.

A Channel 5 spokesman said: "The purpose of the roadshow will be to build upon the success of Home & Away, which has boosted our peak-time share to 6.3% and is made of a largely teenage audience."

The roadshow will be supported with above and below line activity at each of the events, spearheaded by a joint promotion with the soft drink Irn Bru.

Competition details will be appearing on 28 million cans of Irn Bru, offering a chance to appear on The Core, C5's teenage youth zone.
