The as-yet-to-be-named series will follow Blair after he is eventually voted out of office. The show fudges the issue of whether Blair's exit from office comes because of Labour losing the General Election or because he is succeeded by Chancellor Gordon Brown.
Alistair Beaton, the writer of last year's More4 drama 'A Very Social Secretary', is working on the script. 'A Very Social Secretary' charted the affair between David Blunkett and The Spectator publisher Kimberly Quinn, and pulled in 484,000 viewers on More4's debut night last year.
Similarly, the Blair follow-up will get a More4 launch and will be re-broadcast on Channel 4 later in the year.
Elsewhere in drama, 'Nil by Mouth' and 'Sexy Beast' actor Ray Winstone is to star as a football manager in Premiership drama 'All in the Game', which portrays the darker side of power and money that dominates the beautiful game.
Fans will be eagerly awaiting the second series of US hit 'Lost', which is back on Channel 4 in spring. The second run of the ABC series sees more survivors emerge from the jungle, including Ana-Lucia, played by 'Girlfight' actress Michelle Rodriguez, who stars as the mysterious woman Jack met at the airport bar at the end of series one before the doomed flight.
Continuing on its mission to bring controversial, thought-provoking documentaries to viewers, Channel 4 will screen a series of three programmes, called 'The Trouble with Old People', the first of which features 'Blackadder' actor Tony Robinson and his elderly mother in 'Me and My Mum'.
Further highlights include a 'How Clean is Your House?' spin-off 'Kim and Aggie Go to Hospital' tackling the growing problem of hygiene practices in the NHS.
'Big Brother 7' is back for an extra-long run this spring and new reality format 'Beauty and the Geek' moves from E4 to Channel 4.
The six-episode series sees seven beautiful girls, including Page 3 models, who get by in life largely using their looks, matched up with seven socially inept geeks, including a former child prodigy, to complete a series of challenges together. Week-by-week, one couple is eliminated based on their task performances until only one "winning" couple remains.
