All change at British car show

Next year's British International Motor Show has been rebranded after the introduction of a host of interactive features. The British International Motor Show Live is the new name for the biennial auto event, which takes place at the NEC from 26 May to 6 June next year.

New activities include ride and drives, a driving school for 14-17 year-olds, a live action arena, four-by-four off-road driving, and a UK car rally that will culminate at the show's opening.

A spokeswoman for show organiser the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said: "The new feature ideas are supported by the manufacturers because we did our research and consumers want more interaction at the show."

As exclusively revealed in Event, the show has been brought forward in the calendar so that SMMT can use the venue's outdoor space in a warmer climate (Event, November/December).
