Centaur promotes Wilmot to CEO

Centaur Media, the specialist business publisher, has promoted Geoff Wilmot to the role of chief executive officer.

Wilmot has been chief financial officer at Centaur since 1998; he will replace Graham Sherren as CEO in November. Sherren has been CEO position since Centaur was founded in 1982 and later combined the role with that of chairman. He will remain as chairman after Wilmot's promotion.
Meanwhile, Centaur has issued a trading update for the year ending June 30. The company expects advertising revenues for the financial year to show an increase of over 10 per cent.
The group's publications include The Lawyer, Creative Review, Design Week, and Marketing Week.
Centaur claims that the upturn in results is a reflection of its strong second half performance across most market sectors with principal areas of growth in display advertising and internet recruitment advertising.
Centaur's preliminary results will be announced at the end of September.
