Cello's subsidiary company Insight Medical Research will pay up to 拢865,000 in cash and shares to acquire Field Management.
The agency, established in 1990, has an annual turnover of 拢1.8m and key blue-chip clients including Delaney Lund Knox Warren, JWT, Leo Burnett and Maritz.
Kevin Steeds, executive chairman of Cello Group said the acquisition will strengthen the company's interview techniques.
"Cello will be working with Field Management to invest heavily in new interview techniques for the benefit of Field Management clients who are leading agencies in the UK and overseas," he said.
Insight has initially paid 拢540,000 for the company, consisting of 拢200,000 in cash and the rest in shares. Performance-related pay of up to 拢325,000 will be paid accounting for the period 2005 to 2008.
Cello, which listed on London's Alternative Investment Market a year ago, bought Leapfrog Research & Planning for 拢6m in July, and the following month it acquired research and business consultancy agency RS Consulting for 拢4.75m.
