Saatchi & Saatchi is bolstering its integrated services with the
appointment of Catherine Gale as the integrated communications
director.
Gale is joining Saatchis from Masius, D'Arcy's corporate and financial
agency.
Gale was previously a founder and deputy managing director of Grey
Desire and the international development director of Grey Direct. She
was also the European marketing director at WCRS.
Gale is replacing Richard Nunn, who left Saatchis' integrated management
team earlier this year to join FCB in Asia. She will have responsibility
for 55 of Saatchis' 127 integrated staff.
Gale will work at building Saatchis' integrated service. Its aim is not
to create a separate integrated agency but to have the expertise in
direct marketing and interactive to work alongside its strength in
advertising.
Gale said: 'The task is to let the secret out. Everybody knows Saatchi &
Saatchi as an advertising agency but it also has a serious in-house
capacity on the integrated side.'
Other members of the agency's integrated team include Chris Arnold, the
creative director, Ron Mudge, the head of communications planning, and
Marco Keir, the head of Saatchi Vision, the agency's interactive
service.
