LONDON - US firm Cash4Gold, which buys unwanted jewellery from consumers, has hired former eBay marketer David Knight to lead the firm's UK and global expansion.

Knight takes on the role of senior vice-president for international marketing and expansion.

He joins from eBay, where he was vice-president of international marketing before becoming vice-president of internal communications.

Cash4Gold president and co-founder Howard Mofshin said: 'David has already been instrumental in our UK launch. His will be a huge advantage for us.'

Knight has previously worked for companies including PepsiCo, where he was vice-president of international marketing for its Gatorade brand. In this role, he rolled out the brand's first global integrated marketing campaign across Europe, Latin America and Asia.
