The first event is an exhibition from 26 February to 10 April that will showcase a 3D timeline focusing on the key people and events that have happened on the street in the last 50 years. It will feature musicians ranging from Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones to The Sex Pistols.
Alongside this exhibition will be a launch event for the limited edition book, Carnaby Street: 1960-2010. The event will feature images from 1960s photographer Philip Townsend including an interview with The Who's Pete Townshend.
The show will be an insightful glimpse into one of the world's best loved shopping streets and charts its continued relevance today. The area's 12 streets are known for unique independent boutiques, global fashion brands, restaurants and nightlife.
After this event there will be a series of events throughout 2010 including a live music weekend in June and a unique fashion show in September.
