Carlsberg returns to TV screens this weekend with a pounds 4m ad
campaign by Saatchi & Saatchi in which a young man experiences the 'Bank
of Carlsberg'. The man enters a trendy-looking bank with beautiful girls
roller-skating around the foyer with trays of Carlsberg. As he moves
through to the manager's office, he is given a shoulder massage by one
of the women. When he asks for a pounds 50,000 loan, the bank manager
instantly ups it to pounds 75,000, saying, 'Pay it back when you can.'
The massage girl then runs after the man to give him her phone number.
The voiceover says: 'Carlsberg don't run a bank. But if we did, it would
probably be the best bank in the world.' Media is by Zenith.
