Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812. How have you maintained its esteemed reputation?

Though the company was founded in 1812, the past 10 years have been a significant period in our history. Considerable investment has been made to strengthen our position as a forward-thinking luxury brand and differentiate ourselves from other champagnes.

You sponsor events including the Stella Artois Tennis Championships and the Chelsea Flower Show. Does the marketing team get to go?

Yes, it is important to have a personal presence at all events to communicate the essence of the brand and help educate consumers about our champagnes.

Does the marketing team indulge in champagne-tasting sessions?

We host blind tastings throughout the year to make sure our team is educated and well informed.

What are the other perks of the job?

We entertain clients at some of the UK's finest bars, restaurants and hotels, where Laurent-Perrier champagne is served.

Inspired, motivated and efficient.

Does the marketing team socialise outside of office hours?

We are a close team and socialise fairly regularly. We recently went to the Windsor races.

What are the hours like?

During the summer, the hours are more demanding due to the number of events taking place over a short period of time.

What is it like for training?

All members of the marketing team are encouraged to go on courses to develop their skill base.

Are there any downsides?

There are never enough hours in the day.

How do you come up with ideas?

A thorough knowledge of the industry and independent consumer research allows us to identify key opportunities in the marketplace.

Is there anything else interesting about your office?

Our UK head office is in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, so we are fortunate to be able to enjoy the surrounding countryside on the banks of the river Thames.
