The pay gap has stabilised at about 3% since last year. The salary for women at junior and middle management level is now equal to or greater than that for men. However, at the higher levels, men are still paid more.
At senior manager level, the gap has narrowed by 0.7% over the past year, but, at the top level, the gap has increased by 0.1%.
While wages at the top are in favour of men, more positions are now held by women. This year, 22% of respondents in the higher ranks were women, compared with 16% in 2004.
