Gastro 2009 will attract in excess of 13,000 delegates each day including experts and practitioners in the field of gastroenterology.
The latest ideas and developments in medicine will be discussed at the event.
"Gastro 2009 is a hugely important convention for us, highlighting Excel London's capabilities as a world-class, international venue and demonstrating the City's power to attract record delegate numbers," Excel London director of conferences and events James Rees.
"The event represents the first convention where we have worked with the full support of Visit London, the GLA and The Mayor's Office. The success of this partnership, coupled with the opening of London's first international convention centre at Excel on 1st May 2010 will enable us to bring further economic benefit to the city from a market estimated to be £100bn annually."
