The week-long on-air and online promotion forms part of "Super Promotion" on the newly formatted 'Hit 40 UK'. Super Promotion gives advertisers a week-long national radio presence by providing brand mentions in all 4,500 'Hit 40 UK' trailers nationwide and a full promotion on the Sunday show.
The 'Spider-Man 2' promotion will promote the film's release date and drive listeners to a to sample the web shooting game created by Capital Design. Listeners can win holidays to New York, PlayStation2s, 'Spider-Man 2' games and other film goodies.
'Hit 40 UK' claims to be the largest music property in the UK, with more listeners than the Radio 1 chart. It reaches 3.6m listeners across 113 radio stations each Sunday between 4pm and 7pm. The show's new presenters Katy Hill and Simon Hirst took over the reins from Neil Fox on June 6 this year.
Zia George, from network sales at Capital Radio, said: "The release of 'Spider-Man 2' has given 'Hit 40 UK' the opportunity to demonstrate what fantastic work can be done across all 'Hit 40 UK''s platforms with an imaginative client and a talented design and production team. The DJs are really excited about the promotion itself and we hope this leads to further collaborations with Columbia TriStar Films UK."
