LONDON - Cancer Research UK has hired global word-of-mouth agency 1000heads to help it nurture relationships with supporters and boost advocacy.

The cancer charity has tasked 1000heads with building and maintaining relationships with on- and offline communities and driving conversations about specific fundraising projects. The charity will also work with the agency to develop its wider social media strategy.

Michael Docherty, head of online marketing at Cancer Research UK, said: ‘We feel that there is a lot of opportunity for us to harness word of mouth for our fundraising campaigns, as well as for brand and health awareness.’
