Campbell, 35, speaks candidly on ITV's 'Parkinson' on Saturday about how she still attends Narcotics Anonymous meetings, saying, "Once an addict, always an addict," and how she first tried a "speedy drug" when she was 24 years old and admits this was cocaine.
In March 2002, Campbell won a landmark case against the Daily Mirror for invasion of privacy after it printed pictures of her leaving a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. She won damages worth £3,500.
Commenting on the case at the time, the then Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan said: "This is a very good day for lying drug-abusing prima donnas who want to have their cake with the media, and the right to then shamelessly guzzle it with their Cristal champagne.
"Five senior judges found for the Mirror throughout the various hearings in this case, four for Naomi Campbell. Yet she wins.
"If ever there was a less deserving case for creating what is effectively a back-door privacy law it would be Ms Campbell, but that's showbiz."
The veteran supermodel, who has graced the catwalks for 21 years and fronted campaigns for Muller, went on discuss her drug addiction by saying: "No one forced me to do it. I did it because I wanted to. I don't have any blame for anyone but myself."
This is the first time Campbell, who calls herself "incredibly shy", has done a major TV interview. She managed to get in a jibe at the media by blaming them for her reputation as a bitch.
Last month, the supermodel's former assistant filed a lawsuit for assault against Campbell only days after she was accused of slapping her maid.
Simone Craig has claimed she was held hostage by the model in Los Angeles in 2001 and is seeking millions of dollars in damages.
These allegations follow Campbell being investigated by New York police for allegations involving her maid Millicent Burton. Four years ago, she was sentenced to attend anger-management classes after hitting her former personal assistant Georgiana Galanis with a mobile phone in 1998.
In the ITV1 interview, Campbell refused to discuss any of her past relationships, having been linked with an illustrious stable of stars, including Robert De Niro, U2's Adam Clayton, Prince Albert of Monaco, Eric Clapton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Fiennes, Lenny Kravitz and, in recent years, 51-year-old Formula 1 tycoon Flavio Briatore.
