Campbell Lace Beta scoops Thomas Cook as first client

LONDON - Campbell Lace Beta, the fledgling ad agency set up by Robert Campbell and Garry Lace, has picked up the £9 million advertising account for the travel company Thomas Cook.

The agency won the business following a final shootout against Euro RSCG London.

There was no retained incumbent on the account, but The Red Brick Road has handled the majority of the brand's recent advertising.

Last year, the agency rolled out a £2.8 million campaign that saw the return of the company's strapline: "Don't just book it. Thomas Cook it."

The win for Campbell Lace Beta is its first since launching in April.

The agency's appointment does not affect Thomas Cook's relationship with Hurrell Moseley Dawson & Grimmer, which was recently appointed to work on an ad project for the brand's foreign exchange business.
