Good to hear that a week in Northamptonshire for the Institute of
Practitioners in Advertising Stage 2 training conference didn’t dampen
anyone’s ardour and that it was a veritable hotbed of passion to put
Kinsale and Cannes to shame.
Much of the said antics at Highgate House went unnoticed until Stage 2’s
chairman, TBWA GGT Simons Palmer’s Gary Lace, was handed a videotape by
security.
Somewhat embarrassed, Lace announced to the assembled account executives
that a 24-hour security camera had been filming the grounds the previous
evening and had caught on film some interesting note-swapping.
He then invited the couple involved to surrender themselves in exchange
for the video evidence.
Imagine everyone’s surprise when no fewer than eight couples stood up.
