Who remembers the story of Félicette, the first and only cat in space? Exactly. Well Matthew Serge Guy, a creative director at Anomaly London, is planning to change that with the launch of a crowdfunding campaign that seeks to raise £40,000 for a bronze statue of the feline to be erected in its home city of Paris. Félicette, a stray that was found in the French capital, was blasted into space for a short flight before being parachuted back to earth. The cat survived its period in space but was sadly euthanised three months later. If only agencies would do the same with all those stunts that involve sending something into space.

In other world news, the Spanish creative Xavier España Fernandez, who was behind the Lego print ad that showed the product being used as a bridge over Donald Trump’s proposed wall with Mexico, has dipped his toes into international politics again. On this occasion he has created an ad that uses Lego to recreate London Bridge as a way of connecting the UK with mainland Europe (see below). Curiously it looks as though the map is oriented from the view of Norway, which is not a member of the EU.

But that’s not to say that there wasn’t fun to be had back here in Blighty. London & Partners unveiled a stunt to promote a new mobile game "Play London with Mr Bean", a collaboration between Visit London Endemol Shine that sees players explore the capital with Mr Bean as a guide. The campaign involved an army of Mr Beans taking to the streets and public transport, with "hilarious results" (natch). Maybe the Europeans will be glad to see the back of us.
