Camelot launches Scrabble scratchcard campaign

LONDON - Camelot is launching a new Scrabble-themed scratchcard and is supporting its release with a TV campaign breaking on Sunday August 10.

Camelot launches Scrabble scratchcard campaign

The ad opens on a couple on holiday in a caravan. As the rain lashes down outside, the couple are playing Scrabble. As the woman plays the first five letters of her word - ‘PALACE' - a scratch effect sweeps across the screen.

The couple are transported to a palace where the Scrabble game continues although it is being played by footmen on a giant board in the grounds.

The campaign, created by Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, will be supported by in-store. It runs until 28 September. The campaign has been created to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the classic board game.
