
The activity will run from immediate effect culminating with an event in late February to coincide with the consumer DVD launch.
The event will draw on themes from the medieval fantasy series – in which seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros –bringing to life some of the key plots and characters.
It will be held at a secret London location transformed to represent the fantasy world of Westeros.
Cake head of experiential Andrew Casher said the win was an exciting one for the agency. "The brief allows us to further demonstrate our creative prowess, with a theatrical treatment in a way that is true to the show¹s narrative. We are really looking forward to working with the HBO team," he explained.
HBO director of marketing for Home Entertainment UK Ian Fullerton added: "Cake’s experience of launching global entertainment properties through creative and engaging productions is second to none. Their understanding of the brand and enthusiasm for the project was vital to the brief. The next month will be a very exciting time for the HBO brand."
