Cadbury's files law lawsuit against PepsiCo

LONDON - Dr Pepper/Seven Up Inc, a subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes, has filed a lawsuit in the US against rival PepsiCo, which accuses the company of anti-trust violations and unlawful interference with its business.

The lawsuit is thought to centre on a deal PepsiCo has signed with restaurant owner Tricon, which owns the Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut chains in the US.

Dr Pepper/Seven Up argued that PepsiCo's deal with Tricon restricts the use of its drinks in Tricon-owned restaurants.
