C4 is first advertiser on MSN video service

MSN has signed up Channel 4 to be the first advertiser for its new MSN Video service. In a deal brokered by agency Profero, C4 has agreed to take two-thirds of the initial advert-ising inventory for MSN Video.

C4 has bought the advertising to promote the fourdocs strand on its own website, where the public can upload their own documentaries.

Users will see one minute of fourdocs advertising when they click on a video and can continue watching the documentary on the C4 website.

Tracy Blacher, head of marketing for new media at C4, said: "Video is booming at the moment. We are trying to find the right way to advertise around it."
