C4 brings planners together for debate

LONDON - Channel 4 is seeking to engage with the rising stars of the media planning industry at a special event in July, which will explore the future of TV planning.

The Plannertarium event, in association with Media Week, will give a selected group of planners the opportunity to hear views from some of the industry’s key figures.

Industry executives confirmed to speak at the event include Tess Alps, chief executive of Thinkbox; Mark Cranmer, ex-chief executive of Starcom and Research International; Channel 4 sales chiefs Andy Barnes and Mike Parker; and former PHD Drum founders Laurence Munday and Simon George.

Topics include Planning in the New Age of TV, Commercial Break Innovation and Branded Content, plus TV.com. The event, to be held on 3 July, encompasses a day and night of discussion at The Vineyard at Stockcross in Newbury.
