Between 10 and 11 October, the association will visit a number of venues and destinations to understand the developments that have taken place in the region.
This includes the Titanic Quarter in Belfast, a 185-acre urban waterfront regneration project which will include conference spaces along with residential districts, hotels, restaurants, cafes and gym facilities.
The BVEP will also embark on a trip to Londonderry, this year’s UK City of Culture. The visits will be part of a familiarisation programme built around the main partnership meeting.
Representatives from the Meeting Industry Association, the International Congress and Convention Association, the Hotel Booking Agents Association, the International Special Events Society, Eventia, the Event Supplier and Services Assocation and Meeting Professionals International will be attending the trip.
Willie Lougheed, business to business manager for NITB, said: "We’re delighted to be welcoming the BVEP and their representative memberships to Northern Ireland. We’ve held some fantastic events already this year and having the UK event industry represented in the destination is a real endorsement of Northern Ireland and our events product."
Chris Skeith, vice chair of the BVEP, added: "Everyone on the partnership is delighted to be convening in Northern Ireland this month and we’re grateful for the wonderful programme NITB has pulled together.
"There has been so much going on in Northern Ireland over the last few years; it should be a productive trip for the partnership."
