MPI UK Chapter president Samme Allen, ISES International board member Richard Foulkes, Eventia chairman Simon Hughes and AEV and ESSA director Chris Skeith will work together to form proposals on the future aims, activities and structure of the organisation.
The vice-chairs will also represent the UK events industry in front of stakeholders and other representative bodies.
The move aims to create a stronger network for engagement across all the sectors of the UK events industry.
"The appointment of four first rate vice chairs gives us the opportunity to develop a long term strategy for the partnership," said Hirst. "We’re also looking to increase the impact it has, working alongside the key industry associations, to create an even more effective two way communication on matters of mutual benefit between the partners."
The BVEP is formed of 20 associations and organisations within the UK events industry and exists to provide a communication platform between the industry and its stakeholders, be they wider business, government or consumer.
"In Samme, Richard, Simon and Chris, I’m personally delighted to have such a wide range of experience and specialism to both represent the partnership, and play such a pivotal role in the future of the BVEP," added Hirst.
