Brnicevic will report to Andrew Maag, the chief executive of EMEIA and Americas, and Sarah Manley, the chief marketing officer at Burberry.
In her newly created role, Brnicevic will have responsibility for the strategic direction and execution of all marketing activity for the EMEIA region, which encompasses digital marketing, events, and media planning and buying.
Brnicevic joined Burberry in 2011 as director of marketing and communications for emerging markets and last year added the responsibility for marketing of the EMEIA beauty business to her responsibilities.
Prior to joining Burberry, Brnicevic worked at agency network WPP where she was global business director for the Vodafone account.
The changes at Burberry will also involve the creation of an EMEIA director of communications role, which will be handed to Isabel May.
She will be responsible for developing and executing the communications strategy, which includes PR, corporate relations, VIP relations and internal communications.
May joined the company in 2011 as director of PR from Freuds and she will now report to Maag and Julian Payne, vice-president of PR and corporate relations globally.
