Burberry appoints Jenna Littler to newly created marcomms position

Burberry has promoted Jenna Littler to the newly created role of senior vice-president for marketing and communications across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).

Littler, who currently heads up Burberry’s PR and corporate relations, will assume responsibility for the "strategic direction and execution of all marketing and communications activity" across the region.

She will oversee public relations, digital marketing, corporate relations, events, internal and partner communications and media planning and buying.

Littler, who joined Burberry in 2010 from consultancy McKinsey & Company, will take up the role from January and report to Burberry’s EMEIA chief executive Andrew Maag and chief marketing officer Sarah Manley.

It follows the news last month that the fashion brand’s the FTSE 100 company after a decade, to become Apple's vice-president of retail and online stores.

Christopher Bailey, the company’s renowned chief creative officer, will take over from Ahrendts when she departs. He will retain his responsibilities and become chief creative and chief executive officer.
