Wanadoo has announced the departure from the Group of John Pluthero, chief executive of Freeserve in the UK. Pluthero, who has served as Freeserve chief executive since May 1999 and, as Dixons group corporate development director, was a founder member of the company in September 1998, is leaving Freeserve to become chief executive of Energis. Freeserve's chief financial officer, Eric Abensur, has been appointed interim CEO.
