The site is designed to help young people realise their potential and challenges them to make the most of their futures through practical offline activities and workshops.
The site, which was built by WorldArchipelago and designed by Kent Lyons, has been developed to cater for any 14- to 19-year-olds looking for advice and information on life and work and to provide an ongoing support relationship with the thousands of teenagers who have already taken part in RFTS events.
Ben Stimson, group head of corporate affairs at BSkyB, said: "This straight-talking and optimistic site is aimed at a wide range of teenagers. We want the site to be one of the first ports of calls for any teenager online and to provide for them an important and useful service."
As well as movie, sport and news content, the RFTS site will feature music from Sky's recently launched music channel Flaunt to ensure that the site holds a strong appeal to teenagers.
"The fact that many young people associate with the Sky brand means that we can speak to a lot of teenagers who may not respond to other, more formal, information and support groups," Stimson added.
On the site, teenagers can explore the realities of working in the entertainment, media and sport industries, through video profiles, articles and insider interviews.
Teenagers can also showcase their own work and give feedback on others. Support and advice comes from the Dilemma Doctor and Job GP. Users can also explore training and courses or chat in the RFTS online community.
