Be Broadband overhauls brand identity

LONDON - Be Broadband, the high-speed ISP owned by O2, has undergone a complete rebrand led by design consultancy Dave, with input from Be Broadband's own key customers.

The project created a new brand identity and a new manifesto and overhauled the look of the Be Broadband website.

Under the theme of 'Create The New', input was sought from Be Broadband's super users, as the first step in a plan to put Be Broadband's member community at the heart of its operations.

Be Broadband wants members to have a say in what direction the company takes and how services are structured.

Felix Geyr, Be chief executive, said: "Our new identity's artwork is stripped back and raw, providing the platform for members to express themselves, something we know they already do across the web."

The relaunch comes as Be Broadband announces it is looking for an agency to handle its integrated account.

The company has reportedly selected three agencies to pitch for the business. Incumbent My Agency has not been invited to re-pitch.

Be Broadband was acquired by O2 in 2006 and its mainstream ISP product was rebranded as O2 Broadband. The high-speed service was retained as a separate entity to offer a more tailored package allowing customers to choose their preference for qualities such as speed or reliability.
