With companies investing heavily in customer initiatives to counter price rises, overall satisfaction rates rose last year, according to JD Power's annual survey of gas and electricity suppliers. Scottish and Southern Energy topped the electricity table.
Npower, Powergen and Scottish Power came bottom in the electricity supplier table, while EDF was ranked last among the gas suppliers.
