
The consumer list, which is independently administered by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA), is scored by two separate groups. This includes an independent and voluntary expert council, comprising of 33 senior industry figures, as well as a sample of 2,500 British adults.
Brands were judged on various factors, including quality of products and services, reliability and a trust to deliver consistency and distinction within its sector.
British Airways was named the top brand in this year’s list, followed by luxury watch manufacturer Rolex and broadcaster BBC. Microsoft came in at number four, Nike ranked fifth followed by retailer John Lewis at number six.
Other brands landing a spot in the Consumer Superbrands’ top ten included Gillette, Mercedes-Benz, Kellogg’s and Apple.
Lego, Andrex, Boots, Dyson, Coca-Cola, Fairy, BMW, Google, Häagen-Dazs and Virgin Atlantic have also placed in the 2015 list’s top 20.
Brands which have disappeared from the top 20 this year include Heinz, Cadbury, Amazon, Sony, Marks & Spencer and Shell.
