Former British Airways commercial director Martin George and sales and marketing director Andrew Crawley, who have both pleaded not guilty, are accused of conspiring with rival Virgin Atlantic between 2004 and 2006 to fix the price of fuel surcharge.
Ex-head of communications Iain Burns and former head of UK and Ireland sales Alan Burnett also deny any wrong-doing. The charges have been brought by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) under Section 188 of the Enterprise Act.
Martin George and Iain Burns both left the airline in 2006, while Alan Burnett retired from the company that year. George now occupies the role of group marketing director at healthcare provider Bupa.
Separately, last week, British Airways was attacked by the Unite trade union for offering a number of senior executives millions of pounds-worth in share options 24 hours ahead of the recent industrial dispute.
However, a British Airways spokesman said the share option was "is in line with most FTSE 100 companies".
