Brightman, previously commercial director at fellow producer Zeal Entertainment, will help develop corporate, ad-funded and brand-focused productions, in addition to managing global sales and distribution.
Prior to working with Zeal Entertainment, Brightman worked for Virgin Media TV and UKTV, securing advertisers and sponsorship partners to fund programming projects. She was instrumental in negotiating the advertiser-funded programming deal with Waitrose for The Market Kitchen on UKTV Food.
Somethin' Else, founded in 1991 by chief executive Sonita Alleyne and creative director Jez Nelson, produces content for a range of formats, with a particular emphasis on music and youth. It is the UK's largest independent producer of radio programming and podcasts for the BBC, commercial and international radio.
