
EE recalls Power Bar, again
EE has issued a product recall for its Power Bar portable mobile charger over concerns that the device might overheat during charging and pose a fire risk.
The company has warned customers not to use the Power Bar, only a previous batch of the chargers over reports they could explode. it knew the risks, countering claims that it had been alerted to serious safety concerns about the Power Bars.
The company has issued a statement on its website, where it tells customers to return their Power Bar to an EE store, where they will be given a £20 voucher in exchange.
The statement said: "We are taking this action because we are aware of a very small number of further incidents where Power Bars have overheated in circumstances that could cause a fire safety risk. Keeping our customers safe is extremely important to us, and that’s why we’re taking this voluntary and precautionary action."

Facebook embeds Uber into Messenger
Facebook has signed an agreement with cab service Uber to allow users to request a vehicle via the social network’s Messenger app.
Uber on Messenger has become available in parts of the US and will be rolled out to other markets "soon".
For Uber, the partnership is an obvious boon, allowing the company to tap into Facebook’s 1.5 billion membership base and 700 million Messenger users, while for Facebook it means that users will not have to leave its software to order a cab.
Facebook said in a statement: "More countries and other transportation partners will be available soon."
Explaining how it works, the social business added: "Driver status updates and payment receipts will get delivered to a private conversation between you and Uber.
"With everything in one place, you can seamlessly keep track of your ride and payment history."
