Brass joins Endemol as deputy chief operating officer

LONDON - Endemol, the production company behind Big Brother, has appointed Martha Brass as deputy chief operating officer.

She joins from CPH Group, which incorporates Amaze TV in the UK and D&D Media Group in Europe, where she was commercial director and managing director of Amaze TV.

Brass begins work today (January 5) in Endemol's London office and will report to Marco Bassetti, chief operating officer for Endemol Group. Brass will work alongside him, overseeing operations across the group.

Prior to joining the CPH Group in 2008, she was the executive vice-president and head of television for Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment, creator and co-owner of Idols. She was responsible for managing the development, production and sales of all 19's TV properties.

Before that, Brass spent six years at FreemantleMedia, where her roles included chief operating officer, FreemantleMedia North America; chief operating officer, Southern Europe and South Africa; commercial director, FreemantleMedia Production and Commercial & Finance Director, Freemantle International Distribution.
