Branding: Polyfilla reworks design of packs

ICI Paints has revamped its Polyfilla DIY brand to help consumers more easily find which of its 52-strong range they need.

The redesign, by Elmwood London, introduces colour-coding to create families of products. It will be rolled out from next month.

A spokesman for the agency said the changes have been introduced to eliminate confusion between products due to their similar packaging, especially in bigger DIY stores.

The dominant pack colour will remain blue, but the names of the sub-ranges, such as Deep Gap Polyfilla and Weatherproof Polyfilla, will be colour-coded.

The logo for Polycell, the umbrella brand for Polyfilla that features a red and yellow tick, has been retained and given a 3-D makeover.
