Apart from helping us keep in touch, they are a lifeline when it comes to making us feel a bit more safe and secure. But why do they have to look so boring? Until now, they have just been toys for the boys. Surely someone out there can give us a gadget that is a bit more girlie?
Well, look no further. Let me introduce you to my new friend, the Siemens Limited Edition CL75 Poppy phone. This really is a clamshell for a damsel (I challenge any self-respecting bloke to wield this baby in front of his mates). Poppy red and pretty in pink, it's perfect! It even has its own matching accessory - a delightful silver charm, complete with a genuine Swarovski crystal. Isn't bling a wonderful thing?
That is not to say this little gem is all form without function. A generous chunk of memory (11MB), video and zoom camera will make a mockery of the boys' little handhelds. And when you've had enough testosterone-filled conversation about mega-pixels and multi-functionality, press the button that turns the internal display into a mirror. I'm certain a few of my friends will be squealing with delight.
