Branding: Krispy Kreme hires CADA

US confectionery brand Krispy Kreme has appointed design consultancy CADA as it looks to localise its brand for British consumers.

The agency is producing a series of poster and postcard ads promoting Krispy Kreme's non-doughnut products, such as muffins. The work will mark the introduction of a muffin-shaped logo, with the strapline 'Baked fresh daily'.

CADA has also been briefed to develop a 'clear and consistent look and feel' for the brand's UK outlets, which will appeal to ABC1 women.

Krispy Kreme is planning seasonal campaigns to run around Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter.
