Brand Manager of the Week

Jill McCall, assistant brand manager, Trident, Cadbury

Describe yourself in three words.
Surprisingly good judgement.

What would you be if you weren't a brand manager?
An architect.

What advice would you give someone starting their marketing career today?
Look at as many ads as you can. Thinking about the ads and campaigns that are top of the game will help you judge what ‘good' should look like.

If you weren't you, who would you be?
Nigella Lawson, mainly for the endless supply of cake.

What's your favourite holiday destination?
Tunisia, outside the resorts.

What's your favourite bar?
Be at One in Clapham Junction, because the bar staff can be bribed with Miniature Heroes, and it's a great bar.

What is your all-time favourite campaign or slogan?
I still have a lot of love for the swing dance ads that Gap did a few years back.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?
A theme tune, to never get tired and, of course, endless wishes.

If you were a brand, what would you be?
I'd like to think Cartier, but M&S is probably closer to the truth.

Who's your dream brand ambassador?
Beyoncé, with whom we are just ending a successful promotion.

What was your finest hour?
Skiing with one arm in plaster -I didn't want to miss out.

What headline would you like to read in Marketing?
‘Cadbury to partner with Diageo and Arcadia group: all staff to have 50% discount card.'
