Astrid Beretta, UK brand manager, LoveFilm

Describe yourself in three words.
Honest, outgoing and reliable.

How would you describe marketing?
Establish what your customers want and deliver the product or service in a compelling and engaging way.

What advice would you give someone starting their marketing career today?
Don't be afraid to start in the trenches because early lessons learned will serve you well. Get noticed and remember people's names.

What attracted you to your current job?
The creativity of the LoveFilm brand team and working across the whole business.  It's a fast growing company and I love the fact that no two days are the same.

If you were a brand, what would you be?
Roxy.

What is your favourite campaign or slogan?
Cadbury's dancing eyebrows ad with Don't stop the rock by Freestyle.

If you weren't you, who would you be?
Angelina Jolie - not only is she gorgeous, but she is married to Brad Pitt.

What is your favourite bar or restaurant?
Nando's, it reminds me of home.

Do you have any hobbies?
DJing.

What makes you angry?
People who talk loudly on their mobile phones in public.

What is your greatest ambition?
In work, to create a brand campaign that receives global recognition. In play, to be an international superstar DJ.

What have been your best and worst freebies?
The best has been invitations to film premieres and some-times getting to meet A-listers. The worst was a pencil from the Covent Garden Hotel.

If you could get tickets for any event, what would it be?
The Academy Awards ceremony. I would love to be in the middle of all the glitz and glam.

What was your finest hour?
The Maggie's Cancer Charity 20-mile walk.  I must be a sucker for punishment as I'm doing it again this year.

What can't you live without?
My husband, and music.
