LONDON (Brand Republic) - Vodafone has appointed the New York office of the Bozell Group, part of True North Communications, to its $300m (£204m) joint-venture US wireless business.
Bozell won the New Jersey-based Verizon Wireless account, a joint venture between the UK鈥檚 Vodafone and Verizon Communications, without a pitch.
Verizon Wireless is the US鈥檚 biggest mobile communications brand and was created last year out of the mergers of Bell Atlantic, GTE and Vodafone鈥檚 US mobile phone businesses.
Bozell has previously created the launch campaign for the brand, which ran in April after handling Bell Atlantic for five years.
Media-buying duties for the account are divided between the New York offices of Interpublic Group of Companies-owned Draft Worldwide and Zenith Media, jointly owned by Cordiant Communications Group and Publicis Group.
