Bounty links up with Research Now for online panel

LONDON - Mother-to-be marketing company Bounty is linking up with Research Now to develop an online panel of 5,000-plus new and expectant mothers using Bounty's database.

Called Mums' Opinions, it will provide researchers and brands interested in understanding more about families with young children, the opportunity to gain insight into the thinking of expectant and new mother by tapping into an up-to-date community.

The online panel is made up of 5,000-plus mums recruited through Bounty's database, all of whom have opted-in to participate in the research. It is designed to enable companies to conduct research on an ad-hoc basis or over the course of their pregnancy and early motherhood.

Sue Dwyer, Bounty's head of research, said: "Mums' Opinions enables brands to monitor purchase habits as well as the changing attitudes and motivations experienced by mums. This will complement existing data sources and is particularly powerful in a market that is constantly changing, as we will be able to understand mums' mindsets at a given moment in time."

The panel is made up of respondents from the first trimester of pregnancy through to the mothers of children aged two years. It is refreshed on a quarterly basis to ensure there is always a supply of members in the first trimester.

John Caldwell, director of client services at Research Now, said: "The online panel will provide a unique resource for marketers and market researchers within the babycare industry. Clients will be rewarded with both a faster and more cost-effective route to obtaining important research data along with high standards and quality guaranteed."

Bounty is best known for its New Mum packs, which are distributed to new mothers in hospitals across the country. Research Now is a European online research and panel specialists offering range of online fieldwork services.
