Boots has struck a deal with the Life Channel - which broadcasts on
TV screens in doctor's waiting rooms - to advertise its high street
chemists.
The UK-wide activity will run for two months from this week. The ads
will broadcast as two 20-second creative slots, repeated every hour.
The deal was negotiated on behalf of Boots by Nadia Sacoor, buying
executive at outdoor specialist Blade, and Kevin Kemp, marketing
director at the Life Channel.
Kemp said the channel is on target to have a screen presence in 4,000
surgeries across the UK by the end of 2002.
Separately, the Wellbeing Channel - a Boots and Granada joint venture
digital TV channel - will fold at the end of this year following
financial losses.
