LONDON (Brand Republic) – UK chemist chain Boots is investing £9.5m in 30 new outlets in Thailand, adding to its portfolio of 70 existing stores. Twenty of the shops will be in Bangkok.
The company is also expanding its Boots Medilink system to Thailand, the first country outside the UK to get the online medical record system.
Customers can apply for free Medilink cards at any Boots store, giving them access to their medical history and a list of drugs they have bought at Boots in the past. The company is predicting to have 10,000 cardholders by the end of next year.
