PayPass is a feature that can be added to any MasterCard or Maestro account, and does not require consumers to tap in their code each time they pay for goods.
Hany Fam, general manager, UK & Ireland markets, at MasterCard, said: "Boots UK is an ideal environment in which to showcase the speed, convenience and security of contactless payments through MasterCard PayPass."
Twenty other Boots stores across London and Liverpool will be trialling the service in the coming weeks. Today, there are nearly 75 million PayPass cards and devices in use at more than 230,000 shops across 34 countries.
