The 007 Days of Bond Event will celebrate 50 years of the Bond Film franchise through a golden briefcase being carried around the UK by stars including Moore and actresses Britt Ekland, Shirley Eaton, Tania Mallet and Eunice Gayson and classic villain Richard Kiel who played Jaws.
The relay will kick off on Monday morning at Eilean Donan Castle in the Scottish Highlands, which doubled as the British Secret Service HQ in The World is Not Enough.
A golden briefcase containing the first copy of the new Bond 50 Blu-ray collection, released later this month, will travel in a helicopter over the scenic hills of Argyll that featured in a chase scene in From Russia With Love.
The briefcase will then depart in an Aston Martin DBS car featured in Quantum of Solace, for a 900-mile journey around the UK.
It will visit venues including Stoke Park, the scene of the classic golfing encounter between Bond and Auric Goldfinger in Goldfinger and the Eden Project in Cornwall, which was used as villain Gustav Graves’ diamond mine in Die Another Day.
At Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough, stunt performers will run with the briefcase along a moving train, recreating the classic Bond action scene in Octopussy.
Each location will be presented with a commemorative gold disc celebrating its part in 007’s 50-year history.
After seven days of adventure the Aston Martin will park up outside the HMV shop on London's Oxford on 24 September.
The relay will be covered in blogs on the 007 website and will also stop at key locations and media houses on its trip, giving journalists and fans the chance to have their photographs taken with the Aston Martin.
