Bollore stake in Aegis continues to climb

LONDON - It is becoming something of a daily routine for French financier Vincent Bollore as he this morning once more increased his stake in media buying firm Aegis to 19.15%.

Yesterday Bollore raised his stake to 19.1% adding another 0.05% today as his stake in the British holding firm nears 20%.

Speculation is that Bollore, who has previously described his stake in Aegis is a "financial holding", will ask for seats on the Aegis board.

This week, his stake in Aegis has risen from 17.38% to 19.15% as his rapid stake-building mirrors his efforts to take control of French advertising and media group Havas earlier this year.

Bollore, who is now chairman of Havas, demanded four seats on the board of Havas at the end of April when his holding in the French firm hit 20%.
