BMB to launch New York office

NEW YORK - Beattie McGuinness Bungay (BMB) is planning to launch a New York office in the summer as part of the agency's plan to expand internationally.

The move follows the purchase of a 49% stake in BMB by Cheil Worldwide, the South Korean agency group which is part-owned by Samsung. There are no clients lined up for the New York agency.

In addition to launching in New York, BMB is also believed to be looking at launching in Singapore and a South American city.

BMB founder Andrew McGuinness was quoted in Advertising Age as stating the agency’s hoped to "bring to the US market a tiny grain of what Obama has brought to the US people in terms of hope."

BMB's plan to open an office in New York follows a similar trail to that initiated by . The agency’s clients include Dell, Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson.
